My father Mr.C. Adams was employed at the Garage situated at the top of the tunnel in 1934, Wray Park Garages and one of my first vivid memories was that of my mother running and pushing the pram with my brother and I on board to take shelter in the caves during an air raid. My father was also a special in the Police force at the time.
